Jordan received his master’s degree in counseling from MidAmerica Nazarene University. Prior to getting into counseling, he spent three years in community mental health working as a support professional. Jordan received his bachelor’s in psychology and philosophy from Benedictine College. He also attended a Catholic seminary for several years, so for clients who are interested, he is able to offer integration of the Christian faith in the counseling process.
In addition to working with individuals, Jordan has a passion for working with couples. He loves to offer them the tools they need to have the hard conversations that bring them together instead of drive them apart. He tries to model the same honesty, curiosity, and compassion that he asks of them in the counseling room.
Jordan was born in Florida and has lived in eight different states across the northeast and midwest. He is now looking forward to exploring his new home state of Illinois! Jordan loves snow skiing, disc golf, finding a good restaurant, bingeing a good TV show, or spending lots of quality time with his wife and daughter.
Jordan believes strongly in the power of the therapist/client relationship. As human beings, we’re wired for connection. As much as we love to feel independent, there are simply some issues we can’t resolve outside the context of a deep and meaningful relationship. Jordan can’t believe he’s lucky enough to get to offer that to his clients. He helps you move through your “stuck places” by walking alongside you, offering compassion, warmth, and gentle but direct challenges to get you to where you want to be.
