Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy

What is Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy?

AEDP is a trauma-informed, attachment-based model that actively harnesses our innate human tendency towards healing and transformation through careful moment-to-moment emotional processing. It can effectively treat trauma, depression, emotion dysregulation, negative thoughts, emotion avoidance and interpersonal problems.

3 Reasons Why Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy Matters

  1. Emotions take more time to process than thoughts. AEDP helps you to really slow down and engage in deep and thorough processing of emotions all the way through.
  2. AEDP focuses on processing “positive” emotions just as much, if not more, than “negative” ones. It makes such a difference to reflect on “what’s going right” as you heal instead of just “what went wrong” before you began healing.
  3. AEDP helps you work past inner defense mechanisms that keep you from being your most authentic self. A common experience at the end of AEDP therapy is finally feeling like “This is me.”
