Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy

What is it?

AEDP is a trauma-informed, attachment-based model that actively harnesses our innate human tendency towards healing and transformation through careful moment-to-moment emotional processing. It can effectively treat trauma, depression, emotion dysregulation, negative thoughts, emotion avoidance and interpersonal problems.

3 Reasons Why it Matters

  • Emotions take more time to process than thoughts. AEDP helps you to really slow down and engage in deep and thorough processing of emotions all the way through.
  • AEDP focuses on processing “positive” emotions just as much, if not more, than “negative” ones. It makes such a difference to reflect on “what’s going right” as you heal instead of just “what went wrong” before you began healing.
  • AEDP helps you work past inner defense mechanisms that keep you from being your most authentic self. A common experience at the end of AEDP therapy is finally feeling like “This is me.”
