Faith Transition
What is it?
A person who is exploring and shifting their core beliefs of doctrine, as well as their church cultural expectations, is undergoing a faith transition. Counseling can provide a safe and judgment-free space for people in these situations to navigate the change.
3 Reasons Why it Matters
- Deconstruction–the process of examining and dismantling previously held beliefs, traditions, and practices–can be exciting and disconcerting to the person and those around them.
- Throughout this process, it helps to have people around you who can enter into deep conversations without making you feel judged, shamed, or rejected.
- For some, it is the vital next step in the growth of individuation and emancipation.
