Grief
What is it?
Grief is a very normal and universal emotion and is a psychological response to important losses in our lives. From the death of a loved one to the end of a relationship or a major life change, grief can occur at any stage of life.
3 Reasons Why it Matters
- Embracing and accepting feelings of sadness, even deep anguish, enables us to navigate the grieving process, acknowledge what has happened, and ultimately feel better.
- If you allow yourself to go through the processes of grief, you will establish a better place of contentment in life. You may even develop a deeper wisdom of letting go and finding compassion for others.
- Choosing to let others into our grief is a necessary and deeply fulfilling part of the experience. It affirms we are not alone in this world.
